You know that friend who always wins at movie trivia, has always seen the latest release, and has been a Netflix subscriber for years?  Here’s a thrifty Christmas gift for them!

Gift

Thrift DVDs – either a tried-and-true fave or a quirky lesser-known film so your gift recipient can host their own private screening in the comfort of their own home.

I found Season Two, Volume 1 of hit series Glee at a thrift store for only $2! That’s right – in perfect condition, only TWO dollars!

Why not thrift for a quirky video like this 1991 TV Movie “Writer’s Block” starring Morgan Fairchild?

Fill a plastic box or bucket with unpopped popcorn packets. If you’re feeling adventurous, try your hand at creating a flavored popcorn.   Include a few boxes of theater-style candy, or to go even cheaper, make your own boxes with a hand-drawn logo and fill with homemade candies.

Wrapping

Popcorn boxes or buckets are fairly cheap at any big box store.  Fill a big popcorn tub with all the goodies, and use wrapped popcorn balls or bagged treats as “packing peanuts.”
